RULES / κανόνες

  • Pelando Variación is a competition devised and first organized in 2015 by Olivier Kolker. The idea is for the performing couple to compete in dancing only the variación of the song, instead of the entire song.

  • In detail, the rules are the following:
    - Open Competition for PROFESSIONAL and NON-PROFESSIONAL dance couples. 
    - The competition will consist of ONLY ONE VARIACION
    - As  part of the registration, the participating couple must SEND, the MUSIC  of the tango they intend to perform during the Competition. Only tangos  with Variacions at the end will be considered.  That selection will  then be evaluated and subject to approval by the Organizing Committee.   Once the tango is approved, the participant will receive the VARIACION READY TO COMPETE. No changes will be allowed. 
    - During the Competition, the couple may modify the CHOREOGRAPHY, but not the MUSIC.
    - The  contestants will perform only the variacion of the tango they choose.  The minimum duration of such performance consists of two eights  (measures of musical time) until the end of the song. The performance  ends with the ending of the variacion. 
    - The music for the performance will begin a maximum of 12 seconds prior to the Variation. 
    - The  length of the chosen Variación will not be taken into account by the  judges,  as long as it is a minimum of two eights measures of musical  time.
    - No elements (i.e.handkerchiefs, umbrellas, etc.) are allowed during the Variación part of the performance.
    - If a couple passes into the next round, semifinal or final, there will not be any replacements of either dancer.

  • JUDGES
    The judges will be composed of professional and highly-esteemed Tango couples.
    The judges will be considering the following when making their decision:
    1) Precision                                          
    2) Elegance of Movement                  
    3) Musicality
    4) Originality
    5) Difficulty

  • The maximum score a couple can get are 50 points, 10 for each concept and the minimum are 5 points.

​

  • THE FINAL SCORE ​

    • In each round, the scores of the JUDGES will decide the WINNING couples for each round.

​

  • TIE-BREAKER

    • In the case of a tie in the Judges’ votes, the criteria would be to allow those couples to perform for a second time

  • Ο διαγωνισμός Pelando Variación επινοήθηκε και διοργανώθηκε για πρώτη φορά το 2015 από τους Olivier Kolker.  κεντρική του ιδέα είναι πως το διαγωνιζόμενο ζευγάρι χορεύει μόνο το variación του τραγουδιού αντί για ολόκληρο το τραγούδι.

  • Αναλυτικά οι κανόνες του διαγωνισμού είναι οι ακόλουθοι:
    - Ο διαγωνισμός είναι ανοιχτός για ΕΠΑΓΓΕΛΜΑΤΙΚΑ και ΜΗ-ΕΠΑΓΓΕΛΜΑΤΙΚΑ ζευγάρια. 
    - Το διαγωνιστικό κομμάτι αποτελείται από ΜΙΑ ΜΟΝΟ VARIACION.
    - Με την εγγραφή του ζευγαριού στον διαγωνισμό θα ζητηθεί να αποσταλεί από τους συμμετέχοντες η ΜΟΥΣΙΚΗ του τάνγκο με την οποία επιθυμούν να διαγωνιστούν. Μόνο τάνγκο με variación στο τέλος του τραγουδιού μπορούν να γίνουν αποδεκτά. Θα ακολουθήσει ενημέρωση του ζευγαριού από την οργανωτική επιτροπή για την έγκριση του μουσικού κομματιού, το οποίο στη συνέχεια ΔΕΝ ΕΠΙΤΡΕΠΕΤΑΙ ΝΑ ΑΛΛΑΞΕΙ. 
    - Κατά τη διάρκεια του διαγωνισμού το ζευγάρι επιτρέπεται να αλλάξει τη ΧΟΡΟΓΡΑΦΙΑ αλλά όχι τη ΜΟΥΣΙΚΗ.
    - Οι διαγωνιζόμενοι θα χορέψουν μόνο τη variación του τάνγκο που επέλεξαν. Η ελάχιστη διάρκεια του χορού τους είναι δύο μουσικά οκτάρια με τέλος το τέλος του τραγουδιού.
    - Η μουσική με την οποία θα διαγωνιστεί το ζευγάρι πρέπει να ξεκινάει με μια μικρή εισαγωγή, 12 δευτερολέπτων το πολύ, πριν ξεκινήσει το variación. 
    - Η διάρκεια της variación δεν θα ληφθεί υπόψιν από τους κριτές, εφόσον διαρκεί τουλάχοστον δύο μουσικά οκτάρια.
    - Για όσο διαρκεί το variación δεν επιτρέπεται η χρήση αντικειμένων (π.χ. μαντήλια, ομπρέλες, κλπ).
    - Αν ένα ζευγάρι περάσει με επιτυχία στην επόμενη φάση, ημιτελικό ή τελικό, δεν επιτρέπεται να αλλάξει τη σύστασή του, αντικαθιστώντας οποιονδήποτε από τους δύο χορευτές με άλλον.
     

  • ΟΙ ΚΡΙΤΕΣ
    Η κριτική επιτροπή θα αποτελείται από διεθνούς φήμης επαγγελματίες χορευτές.
    Η κριτική επιτροπή θα βαθμολογήσει σύμφωνα με τα παρακάτω κριτήρια:
    1) Ακρίβεια
    2) Κομψότητα κίνησης
    3) Πρωτοτυπία
    4) Μουσικότητα
    5) Δυσκολία}

  • Η μέγιστη βαθμολογία είναι 50 βαθμοί,10 για κάθε κριτήριο και η ελάχιστη 5 βαθμοί.

  • Η ΤΕΛΙΚΗ ΒΑΘΜΟΛΟΓΙΑ
    Η βαθμολογία των κριτών θα καθορίζει τα νικητήρια ζευγάρια κάθε γύρου.

  • ΙΣΟΒΑΘΜΙΑ
    Σε περίπτωση ισοβαθμίας θα επιτραπεί στους συμμετέχοντες να διαγωνιστούν για δεύτερη φορά

  • Early Bird (Ends 25 of August)  - $175 USD (150€) per couple. 

  • After 25 of August - $235 USD (200€) per couple.

All PV competitors are given discounted workshop price during festival.

All PV competitors are automatically allowed free entry into the milonga each night.

  • Μετά τις 25 Αυγούστου : $235 USD (200 ευρώ) το ζευγάρι

Ολοι οι διαγωνιζόμενοι έχουν έκπτωση στα σεμινάρια που θα διεξαχθούν κατα την διάρκεια του φεστιβάλ. 

Ολοι οι διαγωνιζομενοι έχουν δωρεάν είσοδο στις milongas.

  • Registration consists of 3 STEPS.

  1. Pay the registration fee using the link below.

  2. Enter personal data.

  3. Send the audio file of the song you have selected for your choreographed variation. Once we receive the song, our team edits it and sends you the variation, ready to compete.

  • REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL ALL 3 STEPS ARE DONE.

  • Η εγγραφή αποτελείται από 3 μέρη.

  1. Στο πρώτο βήμα πληρώνετε το κόστος εγγραφής ακολουθώντας τον παρακάτω σύνδεσμο.

  2. Στο δεύτερο βήμα εισάγετε τα προσωπικά δεδομένα σας.

  3. Στο τρίτο βήμα στέλνετε το προσωπικό αρχείο το οποίο έχετε επιλέξει να διαγωνιστείτε. Τη στιγμή που παραλαμβάνουμε το κομμάτι, η ομάδα μας το επεξεργάζετε και σας το στέλνει στην τελική του μορφή.

  • If the Greece Competition has a minimum of 3 to 9 participating couples, the prize is $500 for the winning couple. 

  • If the Greece Competition has 10 to 15 registered couples, the prize is $1000 for the winning couple. 

  • If the Greece Competition has 16 or more couples, the prize is: A TRIP TO COMPETE IN B.A.

    • 2 flights to Buenos Aires from Europe. 
      4 nights accommodation in Buenos Aires.
      A place to compete in the semifinal of PV in December 2018

  • Αν ο διαγωνισμός έχει τουλάχιστον από 3 μέχρι 9 ζευγάρια,το βραβείο είναι 500 ευρώ για το ζευγάρι των νικητών-
